Before the dawn, eyes fixed on the taillights in front of me, 57 mph to a skyscraper where I’ll stare at a screen, talk into a box and push paper in an enclosed, climate-controlled environment, the very essence of Modern Man, my eye catches a brighter light and I look up and feel, for a fleeting moment, what my ancient ancestors must have felt.
